Squealing Quooker!

Hi, we have a Quooker tap that is about 3 years old. Recently it’s started making a squealing/whistling noise at random times throughout the day. It’s not when pouring water it’s when it’s in standby. We live in West Cumbria so it’s a soft water area. The water is boiling when it’s coming out of the tap so no issues there. I’ve contacted Quooker who would be delighted to come and service the tap for £200! I know you can purchase the service kit for £125 and having looked at the website it’s well within my capabilities to sort myself. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Never used or had one but it sounds like the water is getting too hot and boiling water is escaping thru a safety valve0
