standing orders over the new year

I have a lot of standing orders that go out on the 1st and 2nd of the month, (regular savers) can anyone tell me what dates these will actually go out of my bank account over this new year period please. It’s just money will be tight for me during that week and will need some close management.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    The next working day, so the second. There are exceptions though e.g., IIRC Tesco Bank will send SOs on non-working days.

    Depends where you are. If you're in Scotland the Bank Holidays are different.
    If money is tight, what I do when I have a month with tight cashflow, is rearrange the standing orders for later in the month
    I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

    Depends what bank they are coming out of too. Not all banks delay weekend/bank hol processing.

    I'm in England, and to be honest I don't want to have to rearrange 15 standing orders but thanks.

    All SO are coming out of Bank Of Scotland.

    SO scheduling isn't dependent on where the account holder lives - to the best of my knowledge all UK banks will standardise on one set of bank holidays to use for automated processes, which will typically be the English ones.

    In that case they should come out on the 2nd (which is not a bank holiday as far as bank processing is concerned).

  • Ive held off setting up 4 SO, I will make manual payments on the first.
    Then set them up on the 2nd for Feb.
