LIDL Parking Ticket

Hello. Help needed please.
Driver went to Lidl Barnsley on 11/12/23.
Arrived at 16:46, Driver went into Lidl looking for some specific items but after browsing for a while, driver didn't find items, this was the first time driver has ever been to this particular Lidl and new nothing of parking rules and inputting car registration in store machine. Driver went to Home Bargains attached to Lidl same parking. It was very busy inside and took driver some time to find items and make it through checkout. Customers Infront of driver was being asked if they were parked in the car park but driver wasn't ask and didn't know why.
Driver has received a parking charge notice from Parkingeye because driver didn't register car registration number when in store. Driver didn't see any clear signage of this when arrived in carpark.
Ticket said driver stayed 1hr 55mins in carpark and needs to pay £90. No evidence has been attached to letter to show allowed parking time in Carpark for both Lidl and Home Bargains.

Can driver have any advice on how to proceed with this? Please
Driver has bank statement showing purchase at Home Bargains but nothing from Lidl as Driver browsed but didn't find needed items.

Complain to both Lidl and Home Bargains managers and ask them to have the charge cancelled - they (or at least Lidl) will have the capacity to order a cancellation. Send HB a copy of your receipt/statement.

Thereafter, if neither approach works, use the blue text initial appeal in the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, and attach copies of receipts/statements to PE. Ordinarily any spend over £30+/- sees PE cancel. Exhaust the stores complaints first, but don't miss the PE 28-day deadline if the stores are slow getting back to you.

Please read the NEWBIESt thread first. Should be easy.  No-one pays ParkingEye here but they can't be ignored.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You have been very careful throughout with your use of the word 'driver', but wasn't it the keeper that received the PCN?
