I moved to the tracker tariff in July and have seen a £15 saving on the SC for electric and £1.80 saving on the gas SC but I've had at least a 60p saving per day on the electric kWh price with the lowest daily rate of 7.77p and the highest rate of 24.48p,of near that. Before I went on tracker my average daily usage £1.89 per day but now its sometimes less than a pound per day, the day it was 7.77p per kWh I did a load of stuff on the electric using 11.2 kWh over the 24 hour period it cost me £1.36 that day but on the previous tariff it would have cost me £3.80 tracker is certainly working out better for me price wise. I reckon the average kWh price of tracker is around 17p for electric and 4p for gas.Someone please tell me what money is1

They are way out on Electric estimate.0 -
Been better at switching unnecessary appliances off also wearing a few more layers around the house. Resulting in the thermostat being turned down. As the weather is variable. Only use the 3 month bills for usage comparison purposes. Smooths out the peaks and troughs.0

£750 saved on tracker and the savings events may well add £100-150 savings as well.

December was pretty good for me!
Only used 825kwh gas owing to warmer weather and some insulation work carried out in the living room last year. My seven year average is 1324kwh. Cost wise just on unit charges my seven year average is £36, December is £43 again mostly with thanks to the Octopus tracker which was way under the svr rates for the whole month.
Electricity seven year av is 128 kWh and I used 209 in December but if I take off the car charging we would be down to 122 kWh so broadly normal which is what I’d expect. Cost wise again unit costs only my seven year av is £21, December cost me £47 but taking off £16.5 for the car it’s still quite a bit up at £30.50. If we take off the saving session credits I’m way under that 🥳.
pretty happy with that!0 -
