It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap-happiest season of all
。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。Morning! All trousers stayed on yesterday which was niceI was seen on time as well which was even better , plus it only took me ten mintues of driving round the car park to find a space. I've got house tidying today and a rummage through the boxes upstairs. I need to find the Christmas cards and lights, otherwise the milkman will be getting one addressed to a dear aunt and uncle. Did some shopping yesterday to get the last bargains to fill up the freezer. I've done the christmas meal plan in my head and realised I need some custard powder and long life milk for all eventualities so I may go later or tomorrow. Still haven't thought of anything to get my sister who has everything.
Silver oldie, sometimes the idea of change can be scary, I'm talking about thought processes rather than situational ones. I had to go and see a grief counsellor after my mother died. I was all over the place. I think I saw her every couple of weeks for a few months but it really did help. I hope yours does too. Gers, very responsible of you even if it is very annoying. snoozer, hope it was a brief bug and steve is improving. camelot, oh dear..Well, you can't do everything so just do what you can do. Like I heard before, no one ever lies on their deathbed and thinks, wow, I wish I'd worked more. Chris, sounds lovely{I don't mind dark winter nights, it sounds very peaceful] Ruby, sounds like fun was had by all! enjoy the film! WL, I take it the test was still positive yesterday then
nanny, hope the cough has gone! Izzy, you're doing a lot of running round I see
Rosy, hope you're swigging something while packing, like advocat or a snowball to get into the spirit
Take care all!

Morning everyone
I feel like a zombie this morning! DD got her house keys yesterday afternoon so she was straight in giving everything a clean - the workman was still there finishing off painting a wall. I picked little one up from school and went for a look - it really is a lovely house and has loads of storage which is great. And a big airing cupboard which I'm quite jealous of - I'd love an airing cupboard. Also the loft has been floored and has a proper loft ladder. Little one kept joking that my room could be one of the cupboards as they're so big. Weirdly as we were coming away her new next door neighbour was getting out of her car and she's someone I knew almost 30 years ago. So little one came home with me and DD and her friend spent the evening cleaning and building tables and chairs and little ones new bed. Little one was in my bed with me as eldest DD had arrived home - her alarm went off 3 times in the night and I kept trying not to cough...neither woke little one but I didn't get much sleep at all....hence the zombie state.
My mam and I have been down for little one's Christmas church service this morning - she sang loudly and mostly beautifully. Thee was a lovely bit when her reception class stood at the front and sang Jingle Bells, shaking bells. Home for a cuppa, I'm going to have an early lunch and then go to Aldi for some bits and then I have a Tesco shop coming tomorrow afternoon.
Eldest DD is happy to be back and little one was delighted to see her - she's still officially at work and was 'in a meeting with India' when I came home.
Unfortunately little one had a very upsetting incident at school yesterday - DD complained to the head but got nowhere so I spoke to one of the governors who advised DD to make a formal complaint to the board of governors - which she will do. Just when school is going smoothly.... I'm pleased they've got the new house otherwise I wouldn't have been surprised if DD had taken her out.
Anyways her men with a van turned up this morning three hours before they said they would. I'll probably have little one after school again but that depends how much DD gets done today.
Right better go - I hope everyone poorly feels better soon - especially all the Snoozers. Hope everyone has as good a day as they can.
Oh, Gers did you see that rainbow cloud in Scotland yesterday? I was just reading about it - it looked really pretty.

Hi all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Good news that I was paid today – normal payday is 24th but we’ve been paid early for Christmas. However I woke to an email from BG saying they are putting up our DD by £95/month. TBF we are £700 in debit so I was expecting this.
I have a scratchy throat and cough – no doubt sharing the bus with schoolkids and being in a public building is to blame. I’m drinking green tea with lemon instead of my usual builders this morning. Dinner tonight is sausage and mash, mmm comfort food. DS2 is working and DD is going straight from work to her friends’ house to assemble gingerbread houses, so just DH and I eating tonight.
How is everyone doing @snoozer? Hopefully the family are on the mend and Steve is responding well to the ABs. Let’s hope you are all well for next weeks’ festivities x
Terrible that your colleague feels unable to return to work @camelot1001 – is there any mediation process? Feel for you being lumbered with double the work, really not fair x
Hope the grief counsellor helps you process your feelings @silver-oldie x I hope the appointment goes well.
Sorry to hear you had a rough night @Gers – good call to cancel your hair appointment all things considered x
Good to hear that DD2 has the keys to the new house @dp1, may they both be really happy in their new home x
Right more lemsip capsules and green tea for me.
Have a good day all
Coxy

Afternoon all, after another night of coughing and now aching all over we went out early to check the van, which was fine and stops Mr Fix It wittering about it ! We called into Morries too where people were wandering around looking for trollies, luckily I didn't want much and used a basket. After that we went to a small retail park for a wander and I bought a couple of stocking fillers.
We got home to intermittent internet, seems the men are still working on the new fibre optic stuff. This afternoon I need to do some present wrapping as I haven't even started yet 😏
dp1 I hope your DD and DGD will be very happy in their new home.
taff glad your appointment went ok.
Bella glad to see you back safely from India
Hugs to all the poorly ones, get well asap.
Take care all

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update, the d and v seems to have been a fairly quick bug thankfully and Esther seems to have escaped it which is a relief.
Steve is finally responding to the antibiotics and they are talking about sending him home tomorrow but going back in for blood tests.
The family have postponed their journey to Glasgow for a day and managed to change their tickets to see Bluey until the beginning of Jan.
Lots of sickness on the thread today, I hope everyone recovers quickly.6 -
Thanks for letting us know Snoozer, I've been hovering around to see if you posted.4

Thank you so much RedRuby 👏 I am always loath to pressing red buttons as to me that means danger 😂
