Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air feels cool, but dry and cloudy day forecast.
Dinner was use up of bits, not sure what we're having today.
Work for half a day but have several jobs to do later.
Keep safe and well x

Had a good long sleep last night, feeling good for it. Going for a swim later which should be nice. Already paid for the swim so going for a no spend day today.9

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Still wet this morning, there is to be a gale later so had better get the bin secured when I put it out tonight.
Hope your family are all recovering snoozer, you're really not getting a break at the moment.
Great your new road is open Gers, hope you're feeling well enough to go out today.
Hope you managed to find something suitable to wear taff!
How was the party Ruby, sounds like it would be good fun.
Calmer at work yesterday - had to laugh at the thought of the police being called for the staff bust up! My colleague says she's not coming back ever so we'll have to wait and see what happens. Meanwhile my workload has doubled - so much for having a quiet week!
Eyebrows were sorted last night and I made a spanakopita for today's pot luck lunch, looking forward to that if I manage to get a lunch break, otherwise I will eat at my desk again.
Have a good day, not long now! Take care. XX11 -
Morning allWoken earlier than usual this morning by the dogs hearing something outside and woke me up barking and hard as I tried I couldn't get back to sleep. It's going to be a long day! DS sent some pics from Norway. Their hotel is looking over a harbour with a mountain in the distance, looks beautiful. Forgot that this time of year there is hardly any daytime there, mainly dark all day! Will get up in a mo after breakfast in bed to feed the menagerie. Then I've got to clear the ash from their wood burner so I can light the fire again later.Hope everyone has a good day x11

Morning all
Dry here and a bit of sun due out later which will be nice, I’m off to collect Rob today and take him to work, it’s his last day of work today so they usually watch a film of some sort so should be a nice day.
The party went very well yesterday they all really enjoyed it they all had two plates of food each and there is still some left, I shall take some for lunch today, they all particularly enjoyed the pass the parcel which people seem to enjoy no matter what age you are, I made sure everyone got to open a layer and then went out the room so stop the music for the big prize so there was no favouritism! We will leave work a bit earlier today and I shall go to Aldi for wine supplies and then on to M&S for the in-laws hamper goodies, tomorrow I shall pick Rob up and then collect mum and do the shopping for fresh stuff.
Dinner tonight will be the risotto from yesterday as we did not eat it, I did a quick pasta dish instead.
I hope the snoozers feel better for Christmas xxxx
Camelot enjoy your lunch today xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
I had a really rough night, blustery weather and lots of coughing both disturbed my sleep. I'm going to get up shortly and then check how I feel. My hair cut and colour is at 11.15am and it's a two hour drive and gales are coming. If I do go I'll take a face mask and lots of tissues.Made the decision to not go, it'd be madness. My hairdressers husband has a compromised immune system and does head massages in the same place. I'm very cheesed off.9

Morning all.
Woke up at my usual time today, which is just as well as I've got my last shift of the year at the Larder this morning. Got my ar*e in gear yesterday and caught up with some things at home but I'll be extremely glad when DH's Covid episode is over and we can move on normally.
Camelot; I hope you get to eat some of the pot luck lunch today in a normal place, not your desk!
Gers: that sounds rather like DH's Covid so you've done well to swerve the hairdresser, if its any consolation.
Silver Oldie; thinking of you. It must be very hard for you at the moment.
Hope the Snoozers are recovering and everyone else stays well.

@Wicked - it's not COVID, I did a test. I'm prone to this sort of illness though haven't had it for ages, It's linked to pool chlorine which is doubly annoying. I've got a raised heart beat with fighting the infection, I'll snuggle down on the sofa, taking paracetamol every four hours and drink lots of water. The weather is really wild outside so I'm sort of pleased to not have to go out.@S@silver-oldie - talking these things through really helps, sometime grief can be overwhelming. It's always worse for me as Christmas as my late DM went the whole hog with Christmass- ness. Be kind to yourself.@snoozer - how are the family doing today? x10
