Totally agree Blackcats - it's just I can't see how we can book an appointment M-F, 9-5, in the near future. Even if DH was on holiday, I'm not sure if we could get a corresponding appt. And DH does not routinely have an hour available to take a call in office hours. It would be 'timing' that would put DH off, he'd be better about talking to a (knowledgeable) advisor, and would prefer that over 'online'. Although you would have to forgive me for not knowing whether 'online' is with a real-time agent, or just form filling that is then analysed by a human at a later stage.

That's hilarious - I'm already a lentil person but entrails… maybe I'll pass on that one for now. I suppose tripe comes close, but I've never tried it.
Thanks for the tip, I will look out for that. The Mr T version is very good and £2.50 for 225g

I keep finding I am reading someones answer when the original post hasn't been shown as unread as happened on PiPs post with the crossword clue, which really brought it home to me. Maybe it depends on what you are using to read/post. I use a computer not a laptop, pad or phone.

Good Afternoon MFWrs
Reading about entrails on this thread is just so offal…….🤢… (I'll get me coat! 🤣)
So I got off my bahookie and wandered over to MrS today to pick up the school uniform. It wasn't any warmer today, but it needed doing and I needed the walk, fresh air, change of scene……
I called in at hB on the way back, and ended up spending more money than I intended, but I did pick up some vits/supplements for DH that hB seem to be hit or miss, stocking - so it was worthwhile. I did also pick up a 2kg bag of maris piper tatties, YS'd to 77p. They weren't green/mushy, and I got the slightly better of the 2 packs that had been discounted. I also got some sweet potatoes, as we've not had them in a while. No need for weighted training aids today - a full back pack and shopping bag was enough of a work out to lug back.
Other than amending my siggie figgie, I can't think of anything else MSE relevant.
Ta for popping in 😁

Good Evening MFW'rs
I forgot, I did do summat MSE. I managed to remember to put on half a pack of chickpeas to soak last night (YAY! go me!). They were from MrL - I'm suspecting YS'd after last yr's Ramadan promo. Anyhoo, they'd bulked up lovely and I cooked them in the PrC this afternoon. I put 2 x takeaway trays in the freezer, and kept the remainder for tea.
I had another bitsa/use-up session for tea tonight - last night was similar. I made the chickpeas into a sort of stew - using an onion, garlic, bell peppers and half the jar of Jaymee's fajita sauce. It was OK, but just about the spice tolerance for LG, so instead of using the whole jar, I added a tin of chopped tommies to the mix. Then I put in the chickpeas, and eventually some spinach. I microwaved a couple of the sweet potatoes I got today, and then sliced them up and pan fried them, and then sprinkled chip seasoning on them. I cooked the last of the bulghar, and when it was cooked and fluffy, ran some parsley, salt, pepper, garlic granules, onion powder, lemon juice and nooch thru, and after it had cooled a little, I diced up a tomato (the very last one out of the red net I got in the MrL box umpteen weeks ago!), and ran that through. I also steamed the last of a bag of sweetcorn in the microwave. Put it all into a bowl "salad" style, and then sprinkled sunflower and pumpkin seeds over, and there was a tahini, garlic, may sauce for splodging or drizzling over, as you wanted.
There is a small bit of chickpea stew and a splodge of bulghar left over (I've dibsed it for lunch 😁). Clean plates all round and my crowd were appreciative 😁 So pleased, as it had a load of veg stuffed in it.
The school uniform fits LG - for once - YAY! So that's another niggle crossed off the list.
Really think I'm all out of MFW/MSE news now. Ta for dropping in.

Your dinner sounds lovely - you are so imaginative! We had a "free" dinner tonight of curry bits and pieces from the freezer which was very tasty, feels very MSE and has created a bit of space in the freezer. Oh and there was a small glass of wine left from the weekend 💃

Oh Blackcats - curry plate is my favourite type of meal! And yes, I agree about de-cluttering the freezer 😁
Good Morning MFW'rs.
A wash is on, as whilst we're not due pavement splitting sunshine today, we are supposed to have a laundry worthy breeze, so I'm trying to catch the wave.
Soup and pudding day, today. At the moment I'm minded to do the veggie version of Harira, but that might change if something more "use up" makes itself apparent. I'm notionally considering slow-cooker spiced apple sponge pudding for dessert. There are 3 little eating apples in the bowl that are getting routinely overlooked in favour of tastier specimens, so I need to do summat to make them shine.
Can't think of anything else MSE relevant at the mo.

Good Evening MFW'rs
Tea munched. It was as scripted. Veggie harira soup - to which I added the remainder of the JaymeeO Fajita sauce. There was enough soup to dilute the paste to acceptable heat level, whilst adding some flavour to the soup. The soup was all munched except for literally a ladleful, so I will have that for lunch tomorrow. I used several of yesterday's YS'd tatties in the soup, and they were excellent - they were so floury, and literally melted into the soup. Pudding was a spiced apple (and sultana) steamed pudding, served with yoghurt. There is enough pudding left over for tomorrow night's tea.
The washing came in just before 5pm. It was mostly dry - including towels. I had left it out a tadge too long though and it had taken on the cold from the dropping temperature. But I'm pleased, as it was a perfect drying day - especially as there was a tadge more sunshine than forecast.
I made an enquiry of an attraction today, to see if we can fit it into our upcoming hols. It is somewhere we wanted to go when we went on holiday last October half-term, but we tried to shoe-horn it in to the last day, and it all just got a bit too much, so we headed home and cancelled our PI room too. This time, I've tacked the visit onto the start of the holiday, and it is open for business, so I have booked a PI room and we take it in on our way.
No money spent today.
