Thanks beanie - that's how I would regard it, a good deal for a special-ish occasion when you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen. Aw - you've just reminded me what time it is! I better get my washing in - the temperature seems to be falling.

em n s also do a stir fry meal deal for £8 which might introduce a Chinese takeaway style meal especially with added vegetable spring rolls. It's a protein (Tempeh), a good choice of fresh noodles, a choice of stir fry veggies and a sauce. It makes a big wok full - more than enough for the 2 of us. LG might enjoy curating the menu choices.
The pizza deal would make a nice treat for your first night on holiday depending on the cooking facilities at your accommodation.
I'm glad your DH is encouraged by your sums. Don't forget to look into a call with Pension wise - they are helpful (not nagging honestly - maybe gently nudging though 😉)

Good Morning MFW'rs
A very grey and cloudy start with us, even worse than yesterday ☹️ It is forecast to stay dry though, so that is something.
Blackcats - I have (briefly, very briefly) looked at the PW site - I think we would more or less have to do the online appt, as DH can't do the M-F 9-5 slots. Which of course doesn't mean that he shouldn't do it, but I know from getting to speak to an actual human being (eventually), at HMRC about CGT, it was so good to be speaking to someone who was doing all the calculations in real-time, and could ask pertinent questions and build those responses into their answer. I do totally agree that these things need to be done, it's just difficult nailing down DH - the uniform laundry tax claim is a case in point….. All relevant, and thank you to everyone for mentioning, but trying to get DH nailed down, and without having LG moithering etc……
DH was very good yesterday and has sorted out the bike storage in the garage. He started it about a year ago, and LG's bike was stored, but yesterday he set too, and now all the bikes are stored against the wall, and take up less space. Unfortunately, all the rubbish we've accumulated since we've been here (on top of all the rubbish we moved from our house, and then the rental) is still in the garage too 🙄 But, progress…….
I made something that was closer to bolognese again for tea. I ended up cooking it in the PrC, rather than the SC. LG ended up getting an impromptu invite to a chum's and tea was included, so they didn't eat any, anyway. I used a pack of L1nda Mc vegan mince, and a load of veggies, including some jarred artichokes, which I've decided are my new favourite thing 🥰 There was 2 takeaway punnets of the bolognese left and a punnet of pasta.
I didn't get to see much of the Scotland rugger match, but know that they won - BRAVO! A win is a win, but against a French team who were on fire, is absolutely something else 👏. The less said about England's dire performance the better. But super well done Italy, they richly deserved their win, which was down to excellent playing on their part.
I can't think of anything particularly MFW/MSE that is lurking for today, nor the coming week. Oh, I've got some uniform for LG to pick up from MrS - I shall walk over there, probably today, to pick that up. It's a nice long "useful" walk, and it will a) save fuel, and b) the retail parks are always busy on a weekend, so it's probably easier to walk in.

I completely understand the lengthy journey of getting a good idea progressed to actually being able to do something about it - MrBC is a procrastinator and doesn't like dealing with "authority" - unless of course I'm the authority 😉. His delaying tactic for the PW call was that he didn't want to tell anyone his private business. It took a lot of reassurance that the advisor was official and that without sharing some personal information he couldn't expect any useful information back. When he eventually made the call he said it was very helpful, what a nice chat etc etc. he was also motivated to find a small, forgotten pension pot. Steady and slow for our DH's eh?
