Good to know it all works well everywhere
Glad you found the info you needed GP. I guess there's always the option to try to renew zero bins4 -
I can't wait for the extra bins we're receiving next year, I just hope our local 'binfluencer' has a handle on which bin needs putting out.Mortgage Free November 2018

6 bins/boxes/bags here including paid for garden waste one which has a sticker with a qr code to check next collection date. No pro rata option or refund if you move and no option to sign up mid year 🙄. Council wouldn't collect unused bins from folk who didn't sign up so theres lots kicking about 😥.
Four bins/boxes/bags are emptied weekly and non recyclable bin is emptied 3 weekly.5 -
Blimey beanie - does your council double up as the local Mensa outlet? 🤣
So homework has finally been complete before tea - YAY! Although we still need to use the reading book for homework exercises, LG has actually finished reading the book - and has rated it 9/10. Which, naturally, I'm super chuffed about, as it was a chazzer shop purchase on a bit of a whim....... 😉
Tea was Sweet potato and chickpea mongolian stew, which was a recipe from the Royal Marsden cancer cookbook that I got from the library eons ago. I didn't put cream in it (always thought it was a strange ingredient for a 'healthy' cookbook), but I did add in the remains of the frozen mixed veg bag and 5 lumps of spinach as it cooked. I cooked up the last of the brown basmati rice. It was another 'clean plates all round' night and there was a small portion of rice and a small portion of stew leftover. The rice has gone in the freezer and I will eat the portion of stew for lunch tomorrow. The sweet potatoes were the 2 left over from the MrL PoTW bag, the chickpeas were from the batch that I cooked up a couple of months ago and froze, and I managed to finish up the mixed veg bag and the basmati rice container. More stuff emptied, and used purposefully.
The third quote has come in from the window company. They are having a giraffe. Either that or they don't want the work - or perhaps I forgot to tell them that I no longer required the diamond encrusted handles 🤔 I'm pretty sure they can be discounted. Although perhaps I ought to accept the advice of the sales rep and seek the opinion of my husband first....... 🙄
We won't be renewing our green bin pass, so that's a bit of money 'saved'. Should it be required, we can still take green waste to the tip, so we'll rely on that. I don't think that has been required this year, so if we set up the composting of grass (with vegetable waste, which you can't put in the green bin anyway), we should be good.
I can't think of anything else MSE, so I'll push orf.

I am in awe of all of you with umpteen boxes/wheelie bins to juggle on a weekly/fortnight/3 weekly basis. Crikey.
