Ah Greying, we all have teas that don't quite go to plan sometimes, don't beat yourself up! 😊 My mum used to announce tea was ready by setting the smoke alarm off 🙄😂6

In food tech I once made fairy cakes without the egg. Me and the teacher were very confused about how I'd managed to make a biscuit in a cake case.
I also once made a lemon cheesecake that didn't set properly and then I dropped the tin on the school bus. Luckily the lid didn't burst off but it was far from edible when I finally got home."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

My sugar free disaster was making brownies. My other highlight was adding baking soda to milk instead of the cornflour needed to make a white sauce. The end result was a sparkling cooker top as it really did go everywhereMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I put all the ingredients in the bread maker but forget to put the mixing paddle in. Results was a flour and water burnt paste with the aroma of yeast.3

GP - We're fine here thanks, OH has fully recovered 🤞, and been told this week that the consultant doesn't need to see him again.
Time just seems to flash by each day but I have been catching up with you every few days. The older I get, the quicker the time goes!
Glad to hear you're getting another few days away before too long. It's so lovely to have something to look forward to.

Everyone - thanks for popping by, and for revealing your culinary mishaps.
beanie - you wrote wot I thought! 😂
VH - thank goodness the lid held!
KK - oh the "judgemental teenage peers" - that makes me shudder on your behalf!
inod - trust you to multi-task, cooking and cleaning 👍😁
Blackcats - I too did that with a breadmaker! I was so mad with myself for wasting time and ingredients!
kayannie - that's fab news about hubbie! Yep, totally agree with time speeding up. Can't believe we're a third through September already!
Just to finish off the culinary mis-hap vein, DH burnt the toast this morning 🤭 Not funny - just one of those things, and maybe karma was in the air, as there had been a teeny-tiny smidgen of 'judginess' last night, with a "oh, so that's why we could smell burning upstairs......" comment, on viewing the cindered disks of naan 😂
Hump day.
LG had a bad dream last night, and was upset this morning. We've unpicked the dream, and talked about how dreams are just the brain working through things, and discarding thoughts and emotions. As ever, there was reality (the people involved), and fantasy - 'people-munching' monsters, so we talked through why that happens, and why dreams are just that - they are not going to necessarily play out on some random Wednesday school day.......
They seem happy now and have done their homework, tasks with DH, so fingers crossed they at least go into school feeling balanced.
I might try to go to a market town across the way today. I need a haircut, I need to return some library books for LG - they were already overdue, we've renewed them, and thankfully fines aren't charged on children's books, but they need to go back. And I need to double check on whether I could get LG some trainers from a shop there. So a valid trip - but I thought we were forecast heavy rain today, so I will have to check the forecast.
Right off to check the weather, what if anything is in the wash basket, and get the snap prepped.
Ta for popping by - great to "see" you all.
