15,000 steps is fantastic 👏🏻
Was thinking of you today when I considered hanging out laundry before lunchtime. Didn't, but only as doctors orders is no heavy lifting at the mo5 -
I'm just short of 9k today (raining!) so beating me. I think Greenbee had the early lead but has allegedly sat on bottom in meetings since.

Good Morning MFW'rs
Ha ha - I will fully admit that yesterday was a blip, in terms of step-count and there are days that I struggle to do very many at all, so absolutely no need for treadmills 😁 I did read the other day - don't know if it's true - that the 10k steps is an arbitary figure, it was picked for the legacy 'get fit' campaign for the Tokyo (?) Olympics as the Japanese symbol for 10k looks like someone walking.
Cold start with us. But the sun is out now. I'm watching a local cat - which is ginger and white, it looks quite, quite majestic, sitting on the fence, burnished by the sunlight.
Must crack on with finishing off LG's resources for school today. The ingredients were taken in this morning. So we're half way there 😁
I'm minded to make curry for tea. Not too sure of variety as yet. There may be carrots tho....... 🤣
Can't think of anything else MSE to add, so I'll push orf.

Yes 10k steps is an arbitary figure, but it is a target. So just pick a figure, preferably more than the 2k I dropped down to before my hip replacement. If 5k is a sensible target for you, then pick that. Just pick something that is a little more than you do without thinking. I work on the principle of use it or lose it. The older you get the quicker you do lose it. I have managed to get back up to 10k but not yet up to the 12.5k I used to do.

GP you are spot on with the origins of the 10k goal, as I recall - and yet it is seen as "the standard" now in spite of being unachievable for so many, and a spot in the ocean to others! I confess that I do try to aim for that as a bit of an average, but not as a hard and fast daily "rule".🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
