Bought an xmas gift from CURRYS? Check the price now, return and buy again

Be aware, if you bought, as many did, on or around black Friday, you may have paid more than you needed to. The offers were supposed to be the best around, and many of us parted with our cash to buy gifts or upgrade old tech. CHECK the price today, as the offer now could be much less than you paid. It's too late for them to match the price, but not too late to RETURN the unused item, and buy it again (preferably somewhere else)
my 2 examples include the Samsung Galaxy 6 Classic, reduced a further £25, with another £75 cash back offered, and the HP laptop which was sold on Black Friday at £480, now down to £400

Who told you that? It's been widely reported that many Black Friday "deals" were no better than deals at other times of the year and often worse. That applies to previous years, not just 2023

You might find the price is even less after Christmas.

  • But please remember if you bought in store there is no legal right to a change of mind refund

    That's not strictly true.
If a retailer advertises a returns policy and this is made known to prospective purchasers before they make their purchase, that returns policy forms part of the contract of sale and as such, the right of return in accordance with their T&cCs is a legal right.

    That’s a good point, I hadn’t thought of that.

But that would be a contractual right not a legal one.

A contractual right is a legal right as you generally have the legal right to have the terms of a contract honoured or to get compensation for a breach of contractual terms and conditions.

If a contractual right wasn't a legal right, nobody would ever be able to enforce a contract in court
