Cheap UK break wanted

Ok I haven't had a holiday away from home for about 20 years. Not much money to spend on it but I would like somewhere in the UK, nice countryside or scenery so i can maybe draw a bit and relax for a few days or a week. Got to be fairly cheap - maybe self catering - fixed caravan site possibly as I like the idea of haviing proper toilet and washing facilites- Only trouble is

1. i will be on my own so don't need loads of space or ten bedrooms etc.
2. Don't drive so anywhere should be accessable by public transport

any suggestions?

  • Hi have you tried RoomAuction.com

there are over 100 UK hotels there with their standard rates. All you do is choose a hotel, say them (bidding form) how much you are willing to pay for a specific stay, and hotel replies to you within a few hours with their decision.

A great chance to get a nice deal...

    regards

I was going to suggest a caravan site in the new forest, i reguarly go to bashley park in new milton (something like this) it's a great base but i drive to the places i want to get to.

There are loads of links if you type caravan rental new forest into google, there are trains from london to many areas around the forest. In the same direction Bournemouth (don't laugh) and Poole are nice.
