Online banking security

If you are worried about this type of crime;-
Low net worth person: You can not afford a phone\computer. So it does not apply to you.
Medium worth person: Do not use phone banking apps or on line banking. So they only can steal your phone.
High net worth person:
Carry a low cost phone with app and a small amount of money with you. This you offer up when the robber pulls the knife or gun.
Your computer or phone which has the bulk of your apps to all your other banks, can be safely hidden in your "secret room" only you know about.0 -
The chances of this scenario are very low. Nonetheless, it is sensible to keep your mobile phone well hidden if you are carrying one, and pay with a card, not your phone. It is also a good idea to look down at heel rather than wealthy. Keeping savings and investments with different firms to your bank is also sensible. If you are really worried, open an account with no overdraft facility with another bank. Make all your payments on the move with a debit card from that bank. Do not have any financial apps on your phone. Do not keep any more money than you need for the day in that account. Top that account up from your home computer. They will not get much out of you if you do that.2

I usually don't wear a watch (I have a timepiece - it's called a mobile phone), but in those types of places, I always wore a resin strapped Casio F-91W digital watch, on the basis that someone in those places who isn't wearing a watch, must have a valuable one, and isn't wearing it (i.e. "looks like a good victim"), and someone who is wearing a cheap functional plastic watch isn't worth robbing.
