Query about exempting a home from care contributions because a disabled relative lives there

I understand that a home won't be counted towards the assets when there is a means test to establish level of contributions to permenant old age care if there is a disabled relative living there.
I'd like to k ow more about this. Does it depend on the size of the house? How is disability proven? etc
Thanks

I assume you are talking about payment for permanent residential care where a disabled relative remains in the family home after another family member has gone into residential care? That's covered in section 5 of this booklet (applies to England only)I came, I saw, I melted0
