@Valli - hope you enjoyed your train ride and that the phone call went well 🤞
@Florafauna - I'm glad you enjoyed your swimming lesson, your morning sounds lovely! 😍
I've been out for my walk this morning - thankfully it had stopped raining but I had to wear my wellies as it was a puddle fest!! 😳
I'm currently sitting in my yoga room drinking my chamomile tea and listening to some music - I'll do my asana practice once my tea has gone then its a shower, meditation and then I'm going out with my dd and grandbaby- no idea where yet but I can't wait to see him! 🥰

Well I'm exhausted!! 😂 Took my grandbaby to the cathedral, then a walk around the city, lunch, toy shop and finally to feed the ducks and get ice cream 😁 we were out for 7 1/2 hours and we're all wiped out!!
I've just finished a pot of lemon verbena and hibiscus tea and I'm off to bed now - hopefully I'll be having a lie-in tomorrow 🤞 Have a lovely slow evening!! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

That sounds like a day full of memories, @leftatthetrafficlights - but absolutely exhausting!
I fitted in a run between the showers today, so I'm feeling healthy, then I made rhubarb and ginger muffins (Riverford recipe, but muffins cook a lot faster than cake). I also made coleslaw, but still have lots of veg to use up. Running and cooking are two of my favourite things - and it's warmer as well, and there was still light in the sky for some time after I got back from work...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. @Cherryfudge - well done on the run 😁 it's one of those things that I've never been able to do as my legs just don't seem to be able to work it out (think newborn horse trying to walk and you'll get the idea!🤦♀️) not to mention my lack of fitness over the past however long but I'm on a health journey now so hopefully at some point I can train my brain and legs to work in conjunction with each other!! 🤞😂 I love walking though - it's very calming and gives me a sense of freedom so I understand your passion for running 😁 I love cooking too but I don't bake - following a recipe takes the joy out of it for me and you can't just bung it in and hope for the best! 😂 somehow I managed to miss your last post - I feel your pain with learning Italian, I was doing it for a while but I've totally lost my desire to do so now (I think the app just threw me off course by introducing stuff I hadn't learnt into massively long sentences) so have given up and deleted the app...I adore Rome though (its one of the only cities I genuinely love) and hope you have a fabulous time!
So, my lie-in didn't happen - I woke early and was out on my walk by 6am! It was beautiful today, I saw the sunrise and felt like I could have been the only person on the planet - no cars, no people, just me and the birds...total bliss! ❤️ I came home and made some chamomile tea and did an asana practice and am listening to some relaxation music on YouTube. Dh is still in bed so I will do some writing before he gets up then I'll be spending the day in the garden, I have lots of sowing to do, seedlings to pot on, beetroot and salad leaves to plant out and I have to make a bog garden bed for a load of wild garlic I've been given! 🙌 I'm really looking forward to getting out there and enjoying the peace 😁

@leftatthetrafficlights, what a wonderful day you have in store, enjoy x
I’ll be heading out shortly for a walk with the dog, then also plan to do some gardening, no house cleaning needed today as we had a viewing on Thursday and I scrubbed the house top to bottom.
Beds have been stripped, so the sheets will be out on the line later, but that’s all my chores for the dayI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pension, Debt Free Wanabee, and Over 50 Money Saving boards. train ride went well, lots and lots of pheasants seen, and we spotted a couple of hares in a field. Paid stuff yesterday. Nothing much planned for today, other than pegging out some washing to blow in the breeze. Might clean out the rabbit hutch. It’s never bad though and they spend most of their time out in the garden.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I had a nice day out at the beach and then to dinner at a 50s diner on the seafront and to the cinema. The hotel we stayed in was lovely too and we got upgraded to a better room.
I need to start eating healthier (I had (vegan) burger, fries and milkshake at the diner) as I have my 5 year NHS health check coming up and I need to lose some weight before that. I am going to cook much more at home and avoid so much processed food. I am constantly tempted by all the new foods you can get at supermarkets now as there wasn't this type of thing when I first went vegan!
I made a penne pasta with a cauliflower cheeze sauce yesterday so I am going to have a portion of that with extra veg for lunch. I have some HM soup in the freezer so I will take that out to put in the fridge.
I did cut out coffee at the start of the year and I have a whole load of herbal teas to try. I might make some ice cubes and make an iced version of tea as I think I have a peach flavoured one. Hmm. I will do that today.
I'm going to go out for a walk and then use my treadmill for a bit and carry on with my library book this afternoon. The weather seems quite bright and mild at the moment.

I'm afraid I have no advice for the new-born foal legs syndrome (nice image, and I wouldn't run if I felt like that either!). However, if ever you do want to take it up, I'm happy to support! I have a wonderful support team as DD is a running coach and her DH is a fitness expert. I know I've learned lots just from listening to them. I also find the NHS Couch to 5K app is very useful - it emphasises running slowly in short bursts with essential warming up and cooling down (which are worth doing even without a run in the middle). When I was at school, it was all about races, and no coaching, so no wonder I didn't get far or fast, and ended up thinking I couldn't run. My thinking nowadays is that I'm a runner, not a racer. If it's any comfort to anyone, as we get older we actually increase our potential to run further. I didn't start till I was in my fifties, but I've done 10K (about 6 miles) a few times, and loved it.
And as for the Italian, yes, it can be hard work, and I suspect I've not yet got as far as you have! Ma è questa bella (o questo bello?)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Great hearing about everyone's days and all so varied. People are so interesting. Have had a grand day here as a whole day without rain! Lie in then went to local market, bought bread, butter, some spices and coffee. Went to the pool and then sat and drank coffee after. Wandered down to town for chips then came home and sat in the sun and read my book.
Made some mushroom soup and decides to clear out the cupboard. Several ood sauces and stock cubes went in the bin along with some very old vinegar5
