Failed repiar/replacement on sofa

Depends on the sofa though and we know nothing about it.pinkshoes said:I'd expect a sofa to last for 8 to 10 years so if you've only had it for 18 months I'd be wanting at least an 80% refund!
A Natuzzi sofa at £11,000 should certainly last ten years but would you expect a £350 ScS sofa to last ten years?2 -
Agree with this. The pragmatic thing that a lot of companies do is to use the 6 year limitation. The question is how long the retailer thinks their products should last - and this will vary. I would expect that most sofas would last more than a couple of years, though. But the companies will tend to use the calculation that suits them best.PHK said:

Absolutely it depends on the sofa, although I'd still expect 6+ years even out of a cheap one, so them offering a refund based on a two year life span is poor.PHK said:

Even cheap Ikea ones easily last 5 years!
My M&S leather sofa cost about £1200 and is now 17 years old, and other than a few scuffs from kids doing somersaults over the back of it (!), it's showing no signs of age.
The other (vile colour) leather sofa in my living room was left by the previous owner (we agreed to this) and must be 20+ year old and isn't quite battered enough to warrant replacing it!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1
