Thank you so much for your replies! I didn't expect so many so quickly!
Ok, i'm ready to go buy or order one today.. that 42" toshiba looks fantastic but alas too big for where it needs to fit. Shame!
I think i'd prefer a 37 but would go for a 32 if it really was so much better.
Will the lack of 1080 (which i have no idea what that is!) still be ok to connect to a wii?
If it were you, what would you buy?
Thanks!0 -
We have just bought Panasonic TX32LXD70 which was delivered last Sunday. We saw it recommended on here and got it for £588 from Dixons online. (£619 but there was a code for 5% off ) Free delivery too. We are very pleased with it. HTHNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Basically, 32" and lower don't need 1080p as the screen is too small to notice any difference.
The wii can't output 1080p, it can't even output 720p or 1080i as it's not an HD source. So no worries there.
Personally, I would go for the Samsung LE32R88BD if you're looking for a 32", or the Samsung LE37M87BD (it's 1080p) if you're looking for a 37".0 -
Excellent - thanks for that. Looks like a Samsung will be heading our way with any luck then.
Just found this fantastic deal on at comet but 40inches really is too big for where it's got to go (sniff).

Thanks folks, I've just ordered the Samsung le32r88bd from Dixons. Got extra £10 off with code Jan10, went through quidco and got an extra 3% off and paid with my Nectar AmEx and got nectar points too! Anyone know how I could've saved even more?!?!0
