Amazon Prime + LG TV - programme picture freezing, but sound is ok

We've been looking forward to watching Series 2 of Jack Reacher on Amazon Prime, but have had to give up, due to the picture freezing for a few seconds, but the sound continuing.
We have rebooted the router, restarted the TV and the Sky box (just in case). Same thing. We deleted the Amazon Prime app, went through all the rebooting again, then reinstalled the Prime app, and it is still happening
We then thought about downloading it onto the TV and watching it like that, but we can't find any download button, despite following Amazon's instructions. The TV just doesn't have a button for downloading! See photograph.
Can anyone suggest anything else we can try? Be as patronising as you like in your suggestions, as I am so untechnically minded, it's not even funny. I won't be offended

Does your TV have USB attached? If not then you can't download. Is your TV wired ethernet or WiFi.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 + Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0

Sitting here watching the same on an lg TV with no issues
How old is the TV , we used to have issues with an older lg in the kitchen with limited memory, we overcame that with a fire stickEx forum ambassador

Does it happen on any other channels/programs?
Does it happen when you watch a dvd/usb stick
Does it happen on any other device?0 -
If you're watching amazon through your sky box then you won't be able to download it using the telly you have to download it using the sky box
Can you clarify how you are watching it0 -
Personally... think all Smart TVs are fairly dumb and on the rare occasion they work well out the box they degrade over time. Have had Sony, LG, Samsung and other brands and all have the same problems.
Buy an external player like Amazon FireStick, AppleTV, Roku or Google Chrome and they give vastly more reliable results for much longer (our second gen AppleTV still streams better than a nearly new OLED TV)0 -
Never had a problem with any of the smart TV's we have or did have.
OP Try disconnecting your ethernet cable and connect the TV to WiFi to see if that cures it.
It does seem odd that it's just happening on Prime.
If the above doesn't work try uninstalling the Prime app and reinstalling.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Especially seeing as we have no idea how the OPs system is connected in any way, shape or form
Until we get clarification from the OP everything we say is pure speculaton0
