Metro flexible cash ISA - unable to make payments

Hi there. I opened a Metro Bank flexible cash ISA today, requested a transfer from my current cash ISA, set up online banking and made a test payment to the account. All seemed to go smoothly.... Until I try to pay money out of the account. The option to 'pay a person or bill' is greyed out in the app. When I try to do it via the online banking, it doenst give me any option in the 'to' drop down. Tried adding payees but that doesn't make any difference.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I need to set up?
Any advice will be appreciated.

    I had a similar problem with their non isa account. I was able to enter the payee details but on submitting it told me the account was invalid. I had to call for them to add the payee. The following day though, I was able to add one myself. My guess is it was a timing issue as I was trying this on the same day the account was opened and presumably their IT systems weren't all in sync yet. I would suggest trying again this morning.

    Phoned Metro Bank today.

    It turns out that you can only make payments from saving accounts over the phone??!? Not from the app or online banking. This is annoying because I specifically needed (and specifically asked about!) an account I could withdraw from as and when I needed to. Maybe I was dumb in assuming this is a pretty basic function that would be supported by their app. 

    Needless to say I've now closed the account with Metro and cancelled my ISA transfer.
