Hi All

I applied about 2 months via British Gas as my house 1960s has no cavity wall insulation and minimal loft insulation

Only issue is my house has no EPC rating , so not sure if it will need one before going ahead ?

Company called Dyson Energy Services have contacted me and I need to get back to them as missed their call as was at work

Any one used this company ?

I would imagine they will do a site survey first , be great to get insulation improved as soon as I can due to high hearing costs

Regards Steve

You need a valid EPC on the property. Check if there's one here. Secondly, the EPC needs to have a rating of D-G.

If you don't have an EPC, then you will need to get one done.

Dyson Energy Services are also acting on behalf of Octopus Energy applications. They'll come round and survey the property to see what's best (cavity wall, loft insulation etc).

Worth noting that that government website only lists new EPC's.  I just checked and our new build EPC, issued in 2016, isn't shown.

    Update 8 months later ....
After first visit cancelled and taking day off work and no show
Second visit 2 electricians visited , to visit  to fit bathroom fan and a fan in kitchen
I explained where I would like fan fitted in kitchen and was told no it needs to go in middle of the wall with external trunking up middle of the wall up from electric socket in middle of room , I asked if the trunking could be run up side of the wall and then across top of wall so fan could be fitted at top of wall and trunking would look ok ( there is already some trunking accross the ceiling so would look ok)
Told no its needs to go where electrician wants to put it , the easiest and quickest way
I said it would look terrible and he agreed but said its that way or nothing ...
I said ok I will sort kitchen out myself as hoping to replace kitchen and will fit extractor then
Electrician said if he does not fit kitchen fan where he wants to then the whole job will be cancelled and that I would not be able to have bathroom fan or loft insulation fitted ...
So that's been a complete waste of almost 8 months time..
Will get loft insulated myself and then sort out fans when doing kitchen replacement
    Just a heads up
    Regards Steve
