Another quick post to say that I'm home safe and sound. There's an amber weather warning for here so I wanted to be back sooner rather than later. There's shopping to unpack, bag to unpack and a couple of mysterious parcels to open. One large one will undoubtly be full of German Christmas goodies from my beloved cousin in Berlin.Snoozer - It's shame that Steve didn't get the treatment he needed the other day so well done for you both in taking more action. I hope that he gets a proper bed soon and then home for Christmas.I'll read back more later.10

I’m late today Snoozer I hope Steve is feeling better soon how annoying they could have done this earlier and he might have been a bit more comfortable now . Gers I’m pleased you have arrived home safely it’s blowing a hoolie here Taff I hope you get your radiators sorted I’m another one that goes astray with the freezer I promise I will empty it then I see a bargain and in it goes or squeezed I will be eating a lot less as from today the weight is slowly creeping on since o stopped going to WW and I’m going to be back to square one if I’m not careful I know it’s Xmas but It’s only one day so I’ve give myself a good talking to and I’m back on it plus I got a shock yesterday two girls who I was friends with all through our teenage years at school and going out got in touch with me on Facebook they are wanting a meet up in the new year it’s a case of we were like the three musketeers and then boyfriends and babies got in the way and we all lost touch for over 50 years and I know this sounds horrible but I don’t really want to they want a night out I would rather meet for a coffee and I just think those days have gone and if I bumped into them in the street then fine but what do you talk about our lives are so different now I know I’m been horrible but I just feel so nervous about it anyway it’s a long way off but whatever happens they are not going to see me fat maybe they feel the same . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Izzy - it's a hoolie out there here too! That's one reason I wanted to get home early as there's an amber weather warning for today.I'm unpacked, fed and watered and hunkered down watching The Ipcress File. And there's great news here, the emergency road has opened, under 24 hour convoy, https://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/roads-and-maintenance/a816-ardfern-landslip-gallery which has caused great pleasure and excitment locally. We've been cut off from going north, without a long diversion, since 06 October.@DP1 - happy news for your DD and little one. Sounds like the actual move won't be too stressful and they'll be happy there. When I lived in Newcastle I had a wonderful HA flat on the outskirts of Jesmond.@Ruby - I hope that your OH managed to cut down the tree without the loss of any digits.@Wicked - what a rotten shame for your OH, with a bit of luck he'll be clear for Christmas.@Nan - fingers crossed for good blood test results.@Chrisca - happy belated birthday! I hope that the birthday boy enjoys his surprise.@Camelot - clearing cupboards is the perfect chore for such a rotten day.@TA - ah! A wee Bailey's with Strictly is just the job. Cheers@Taff - thanks again for the ditty. Clearing up the flood sounds awful, hope it's done soon.
