Plan for today:
*Finish wrapping gifts.
*Move gift bags to the front room, no gift under our tree this year as the dog will attack them.
*Put clean laundry away.
*Make stuffing.
*Prepare veg, this will be early evening.
*Make trifle.
*Quick tidy through.
*Dog walk.
*NSD.
And relax with a glass of wine.
Happy Christmas Eve everyone.

Happy Boxing Day!
Had a lovely day yesterday, DS came to visit in the afternoon, don't get to see him very often, thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon with him. Dinner was a traditional roast and have plenty of left overs. Dinner this evening with be homemade chips and left over turkey, best meal of Christmas in my opinion. We don't have homemade chips very often so I think this is why I look forward to it so much.
Dog has been walked and currently fast asleep, Mr D has decided to go for a bike ride, as it has stopped raining and I am going to watch "Call the midwife" with out any interruptions. Will have smoked salmon and scrambled eggs when Mr D returns later.
Today will also be a NSD.

Good morning,
Dog had an early walk this morning, when it stopped raining for an hour, racing is back and in for the day.
Been a busy morning, Mr D fancied corned beef pie, opportunity to use up some of the 15p potatoes and half a packet of short curst pastry that was in the freezer. Going to visit my mother tomorrow so a few slices will be taken to her and we will have some for dinner tomorrow evening.
Bit of DIY also been going on this morning, two shelves gone up in the kitchen that we had in the loft, want to use them for my collect of houseplants. Need to make a list of house jobs that need to be done over the next few years before I retire.House definitely needs painting from top to bottom.
Today will be a NSD, not even looked at an online sale and still have the £20 in my purse.

Its payday!
Money has been shuffled around, bought some more premium bonds and the regular savers money is waiting to be transferred over on Monday, one of my account will be paying interest on 1st so will need to go to the building society next week and get the book updated. Going to use cash this month for my grocery shopping, that's been withdrawn from the cash point, divided into five and put into the money binder.
Had two parcels to post at the post office, bought bread, milk and potatoes, going to have homemade chips and fried eggs for dinner this evening. Not the most healthy meal, its Christmas and I will be back on the healthy eating come Monday.

Welcome Doris, sounds like you've had a total mind shift when it comes to money.
A few of us moved to this section after becoming DF and have settled in, forming new routines.
Try unsubscribing from some of the companies or altering marketing preferences as that will also reduce the amount of emails received.
Are you working on a cash basis with spends as you're doing well keeping that purse closed!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Yes, I have had a total money shift since becoming DF. Want to have saving for when I retire and get used to a slower living style. Will be using cash this month, planning a low spend month.

Lovely early morning walk by the beach, it was dry when we got up this morning so off to the beach we went. The sea was amazing, crashing onto the rocks, love the sound of the sea. Hardly anyone about when we got there, started to fill up as we were leaving.
When we came back Mr D went out on his bike for an hour, dog slept and I had a late breakfast, used up the smoked salmon that was left with some scrambled eggs.
Travel expenses have hit my account today, as I submitted them on the 21st my last working day, been moved over to the car pot and shared out accordingly. Definitely need to get the new tyres on Tuesday, when the tyre shop reopens after Christmas break.
Today will be a NSD.
Was going to take the Christmas decoration down today, will leave until tomorrow and have a good clean through downstairs ready for the New Year.

Happy New Year!
Last day off before I go back to work tomorrow. Decorations have been taken down and downstairs has had a clean through.
Sent over the regular savings payments and bought £100 worth of Premium Bonds with money I received for Christmas. Used up the last of the pate with toast this morning, I had some salad leaves and tomatoes with mine. Took steak out of the freezer for dinner this evening.
This afternoon I will be listing on eBay as I need to build up my small business.
