    Thank you Elsien. Apologies for the delay, it's a bit of a delicate subject in the family. Apparently it wasn't chc funding being applied for. But apparently the following has caused issues-
    - my dad put her in the home rather than the council referring her. The home did the DOLS
    - the social worker deemed her to have agency and she didn't want to be in the home and wanted to be in a flat on her own. Apparently now my gran has said that she does need full time care.

    Not sure where we go from here, I've noted these latest things in case I forget (might have to put my beloved lovely cat down tomorrow) and will review the advice already given above at a later date.
