    Thank you! Our move date is 13th January because i have to give 1 months notice on my current house and the thought of moving house this close to Christmas is unbearable.

  • At my LA we do award discretionary housing payments towards removal costs if the new property is affordable and there is a genuine reason for the move.

    At my LA we do award discretionary housing payments towards removal costs if the new property is affordable and there is a genuine reason for the move.
    It’s housing association and my rent will be paid in full so definitely affordable. I’m also moving because of my health conditions and the new house is adapted for my needs. I will be speaking to the LA this week so will ask.

    In my local authority we do award dhp for removal companies/ deposits etc you will need to check your local authorities websites complete an application and provide 2 quotes
