Reduce power challenge..anyone take part

I'm with eon...you get an email..asking you to reduce power..say.5pm.and 6pm...took part twice ..saved 51p and 35 p...respectively...is anyone else taking part?...is it worth doing?

Yes, there are lots of threads for the various suppliers who are taking part.

People with batteries who can export at that time are making loads of dosh.

I’ve taken part in 5 or 6 sessions so far in the last month & have saved £30. 

But I’m a relatively high user… so I save more than most when “turn off”. 

As to “is it worth doing” - well clearly yes, you’ve saved almost a pound.   For maximum saving focus on heating/cooking/showers/laundry etc. I turn off lights but that’s really only to remind the rest of my family!

The last one reduced my usage 59% and received  31p...I suppose it adds ..up...and helps with..."load shifting "...if that is the phrase?

The main aim is load shifting yes. On that basis I would suspect you already have minimal usage in the target window, so your ability to gain much from the system is minimal.
