Fixed tariff

British gas has just offered me a fixed tariff till Nov 25 if the standing charge did happen to get reduced before then would mine reduce ir not

A fixed tariff will stay the same as the day you sign up for it until the end of the fix. Your rates wouldn’t go up or down regardless of how energy prices change in future.Moo…0

What happens if prices fall, and I’ve fixed my energy tariff at a higher rate
No one wants to pay more for their energy than they need to. If you choose a new fixed price tariff with us, and we launch an even cheaper fixed price tariff in future because prices drop further, then you can swap to it for free.
note you can only change to a new fixed rate deal. There is no guarantee that they will have a cheaper fixed rate deal
