How long does it take for the Land Registry to Add a post code to a title and remove a restriction

Just had replies back to an initial enquiries made by my solicitors. My solicitor insists that A1 needs to be amended because the address of the property does not show the post code. It’s a cash purchase so this is NOT needed to satisfy a mortgage lender.
Also there is a charges register that also states the if the property is sold within 3 years of purchase the council house right to buy discount needs to be paid back, as this has long since expired I am not sure why it needs to be removed but my solicitor insists that it does?
Can anyone shed any light on this, and what would be the likely time scale for the land registry to make these changes to the title register?

a year or so.Or a week if expadited. This is possible a a related sale/mortgage etc is beinhg affected. Not sure how essential either are, provided the LR can/has identified the right property clearly.1

I would say both are completely pointless, unless you end up selling to somebody represented by a solicitor with a similarly bizarre view on life...2

For some mortgage products it is very much a case of ticking all the boxes before it completes. Post codes and discount charge entries will prevent a ‘tick’ so the mortgage process stops until changed. The solicitor needs to contact us re the register amendments asap and escalate it as appropriate- the year/one week example is linked to actual applications to update or create a register.
