British Gas Smart Meter

Had smart meters installed 3 months ago, At the time of install advised by the fitter that if meters don't report usage to inform BG after 31 days. Which we did. There answer was if they are not leaking they wont fix them. I advise that i would like to escalate this as a complaint. Still waiting on the outcome. Is there anyway to progress this as I want to take part in peak save Sundays and lower my energy. Thanks

    FWIW, when I had a similar problem with BG, I contacted the people who had installed the smart meter by email - in my case it was SMS.

    They phoned me and were much more helpful and knowledgeable than the customer service people I spoke to at BG. They did a remote test of my gas meter and confirmed that it wasn't transmitting.

    SMS also said that with most energy suppliers, SMS can raise their own support request and send somebody out to fix problems. But BG insist that support issues must go through them.

    SMS suggested what I should say to BG to get them to raise a support request. But I didn't bother, and a couple of months later the meter started transmitting without any intervention. 

    (But that was a couple of years ago, so things might have changed.)

    Just to make sure... you do mean that the meter isn't reporting gas usage to BG, don't you?
