Be careful ... for my region (Eastern) the current (Q4 2023) single rate Next Pledge Tracker 12M v3 is 27p per kWh, this increases to 28.29p in Q1 2024.
Comparing E7 rates, the Next Fixed 12M v6 is cheaper than the Pledge tariff in Q1 2024, and I would expect this to be also true of the single rate tariff, across regions ...
Eastern E7 DD tariffs Q1 2024:
Next Pledge Tracker 12M v3 ... day 36.7p per kWh night 14.64p SC 44.01p
Next Fixed 12M v6 ... day 35.83p per kWh night 13,71p SC 44.01p
... all inclusive of VAT.0 -
Pledge exit fees £25 per fuel if change supplier
Next Fixed 12m v6 £75 exit fee per fuel if you change product or supplier.
Taken from MSE News
"E.on has launched a 12-month fix that's about 0.5% more than the current Price Cap, available to both new and existing customers. Compared to January's cap, it'll be 4% cheaper – and will be cheaper than its 'Pledge' tariff for that period.
However, the 'Pledge' tariff is likely to be cheaper over the next 12 months, as the Price Cap is predicted to fall again in April and July next year (and Pledge will remain 3% below the Cap)"

Have a look at your bills, they should show your meter readings under the breakdown of your charges. Try to find two actual (not estimated) readings 12 months apart if you can.shazk85 said:
How would i work out my usage in units?frugalmacdugal said:Hi,if you're happy with offer now then just fix, instead of pondering, then you know where you are, as a low user difference will only be about £5/10 a month. What is your annual usage in units, not in ££sSubtract the smaller reading from the larger one and the number you’ve got will be your total usage in units for the year. You won’t use exactly the same amount each year, but this figure will give you a good indication of how much energy you can expect to consume, which can then help work out how much a tariff is likely to cost.
Electric is 1062
Gas 278Fir electricity that's 1062kWh.For gas, it's more complicated. Your meter probably measures cubic metres, but you're billed in kWh. Each cubic metre is roughly 11kWh, so 278 units on your meter is more like 3100kWh.(If your gas meter is an ancient mechanical one it might be measuring in [hundreds of] cubic feet, in which case you need to miltiply by another 2.83 and you get 8800kWh.)N.
