Cost of living payment £299

Martin Lewis was saying that the goverment were giving a 3rd installment of £299 for people on benifit. Does this £299 go to state pension people or just to people on ESA / UC or icome support. Thought it might go to people on State Pension (why I [posted it here]?

You may be entitled to up to 3 Cost of Living Payments of £301, £300 and £299 if you get any of the following benefits or tax credits on certain dates:

Okay. This is what I have received recently
A cost of living voucher for £450. I had to nominate a on line supermarket which for me was Tesco. Got this in October.
A £500 Winter fuel payment into my bank account  last wek. But this recent one is also described as a cost of living payment the same as I received in October.
Can you halp me understand the diffrence here please?

The £450 cost of living voucher sounds a bit 'scammy' never heard of having to nominate a supermarket and doesn't sound like a Government scheme.

It was not a scam. I contacted the council who supplied it and they told me all about it. It was a voucher to spend on shopping.  nominated Tesco on there website and printed out a bar code voucher.  taped it inside my mobile phone wallet so that  could use the tesco app to scan and the voucher bar code to pay. It eventualy ran out last week.

I think the one you had (the £450) was run by councils (link above) and was the household support fund

Okay. I thought this seemed diffrent. So this is a benifit only payment. Thanks.

State Pensioner households are getting an additional £300 Cost of Living payment included with and on top of their usual Winter Fuel Payment. 

(As this has now been paid two years in a row, I await the clamour from pensioners next year if and when this temporary measure is removed ....)

What! temporary measure? ... is cost of living crisis temporary? are fuel prices going to crash? ... I thought I'd get in early  .
