Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x 

My evening with ex-colleagues was good. I arrived at the pub at 7pm and they were already 2 hours into their drinking! I stuck to soda water and lime cordial!! Ex-boss was very tearful – says everything has fallen off a cliff – not sure what I was meant to say to that! I got home just after 10pm.

Today I am light on duties – one boss is WFH as her village is flooded. Other boss is a bit slippery – never really know where she is!! All good though – I am continuing with e-learning and finding my feet. DH back from Solihull tonight – his work Christmas party last night was him and one other having a pizza and playing shuffleboard!!

I plan to wrap some more gifts tonight – probably DDs as she is out with work colleagues. Just the DSs gifts to wrap – still waiting for one to be delivered. Dinner is M&S chicken flatties, SW chips and veg. Forgot to mention that in true MSE-style we cleaned our oven over the weekend saving ourselves the £200 we’d be quoted!

Yes @-taff the GC’s definitely max out on the Christmas vibe now – ours is the same! Enjoy the upcycling centre – keep that purse shut lol!

Morning all, just. I had an early start and went to town before it gets too busy. I needed to get some money out of the B.Soc to give to the DGC as an extra for xmas as they are all going to New York for the New Year (part of DD's birthday present from SiL) Silly me didn't realise they do staff training on Wednesdays, doh ! Anyway we went for a coffee while we waited and I also bought some money wallets to put the cash in. On the way home we went to Lidl for some bread and a few extra bits fell in my basket, including 2 ready meal curries as I really don't feel up to cooking today. Mr Fix It has his covid jab today too but it's at the surgery so hopefully not a problem with parking or waiting in a queue 🤞 Sorry I haven't read today's news yet, that's next on my agenda !

Scarlet - Thanks I'm sure she will and yes she certainly is a treasure. Have a brilliant holiday.
DD found out today she'll either get the keys to their new house on Friday or next Monday. She's determined to move before Christmas so hopefully she can get a van organised for next week. She won't actually have to give the keys back to the house they live in now till the 14th January and it's only 5 minutes away so she'll be able to go back after Christmas and get it cleaned. Going to wash my dishes x
