Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, not raining at the moment although loads of laying water after the heavy rain over the past few days. Forecast is for some drier weather over the coming days, we'll see!
Dinner last night was use up of bits from the fridge, jacket potato, cheese and beans, cold meats, boiled egg etc. Tonight will be chicken - maybe chicken and mushroom pie - home made.
Half day at work - loads to do.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's raining here, it's unbelievable how much it has rained this year.
It'll be a quiet day (I hope) here today, before we go to Aus tomorrow.
The neighbours know we'll be away and one of them has a key and family phone numbers.
I went out to our High street yesterday for a few things and to pick up a prescription, I don't think I need to go out today.
Dd seems to be improving a bit fortunately. I'm leaving their Christmas stuff in one of the bedrooms so she can pick it up at her leisure, it's less for her to hide at home!
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.9 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Happy holidays scarlet, hope you have a fantastic time in the sunshine and hope DD and family recover soon.
It's dry out and the forecast is good for today, it'll be a rest from the awful rain we have had over the past week or so. I would imagine the cellar is flooded again but I'm not going down to look!
The little one's show was fabulous - they had to move to the church around the corner as the hall in the school was flooded and they all coped really well. The little one was a little star singing and saying her lines into a microphone, wasn't phased by any of it. Apparently our own show was a lot better yesterday, hope it's the same today.
Sounds like you had a brilliant time Ruby, would love to visit but can't be doing with it being crowded, seems like it's the ideal time to visit.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX7 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's fine at the moment but will it last!
Another rubbish night for me but nowt new there. As we were so late back after the drive from the panto (oh yes we were!) I felt tired but still sleep eluded me unfortunately. Anyway the panto was much enjoyed, the theatre was packed and all went well with all the usual innuendos!. It was press night and middle DGD and a friend were pointed out to the reporter as ex Sunbeams and she zoomed in on them for an interview, much to their embarrassment!
Today is bus trip day but I doubt it will be a mystery tour as we always seem to end up in Skipton. As long as lunch and a bottle of wine is on the agenda we are neither of us bothered where we go, But first I have an Oc*do delivery due. I ended up shopping with DD yesterday and got quite a few things that were on my order much cheaper so I could delete them when I got back,
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. Take care all be safe xx ps your trip sounded wonderful RUBY.

Morning everyone safe travels Scarlet and have a wonderful time looking forward to hearing all about it . Dark and rainy here again these days really make me feel tired it never seams as if it’s been light lately it didn’t help the bosses wife came in yesterday for half an hour it was more than enough we got all about how she was dreading Xmas how much the car tax was how much the electricity bill is tell it to someone who cares she can put a downer on anything not long to put up with her now . I’ve just been told I have tickets to my granddaughter gymnastics Xmas show on Saturday so I will have to record strictly while I watch them all flip flop and bounce about but they like to see you there and they all enjoy it and work so hard she’s one of my youngest grandchildren and it reminds you how fast they are growing up . Off to a cleaning job now back at 11 then a quick cuppa and off to work. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all
Scarlet have the most wonderful time away xxxx
Yesterday we got everything sorted and put away I also did all of the washing done and dried, I had to use the TD but needs must.
I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work they are having a Christmas lunch there today so he will enjoy that, I had to put another incident form in before we went away about the state of him 😩 very smelly and a huge flare up of dry skin on his face which caused the skin to break open, the SW is going out today to see mum so hopefully something will get done.
Dinner tonight will be pasta with Alfredo sauce using the Parmesan we bought home so looking forward to it, House is fairly tidy, I need to pop into the shop later to get a few bits.
Camelot if you do ever go make sure it’s in the winter and preferably mid week, we went Wed - Mon and it was all fairly quiet apart from the Saturday which was quite busy, I can’t be doing with large crowds so this suits us.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -

@Scarlet - happy travels tomorrow, safe journey too. The sunshine will revive you all.@Camelot - your little one is a belter! So cute too.@TA - how lovely for your DGD, a wee taste of fame for her. Have a great time in Skipton.@Izzy - more talented GC, bouncy and bendy.@Ruby - what a real shame for Rob, you seem more caring than his mother, or perhaps she just can't cope! I'm so glad that you didn't end up in the canal.@NRA - I hope that the funeral goes well, it's always a sad time.My evening out was much more pleasant an enjoyable than I had envisaged. Only eleven people, very tasty food and a long drawn out but fun quiz. I took along one of those miniature bottles of wine and then didn't drink it as it was rank.
Others brought real bottles but I just didn't bother drinking. The turkey was surprisingly tasty, there were lots of veggies which were lovely too. I didn't have room for my lovely pudding (white chocolate cheesecake) so brought it home with me, it's in the fridge for later today.
A very kind friend sent me tiny wee tree from Blooming Wild - flat pack too. I'm not keen on having a real / fake big tree but this one is practically perfect. It came with a pop up pot, soil, moss, tiny wee lights with batteries, baubles, a garland, dangling stars and a bigger one for the top of the tree. And it's a real tree too. It's just delightful, it made me so happy. I've got the lights lit up already this morning.Nothing planned for today, it's going to be dry and cold so I may go out for a walk. And then again I may just stay home, watch Reacher and Slow Horses and read the Christmas Radio Times with my Sharpie pen ready.10 -
Popping back to wish Scarlet safe travels and send us some sunshine!
NRA I hope all goes as well as it can tomorrow xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Hi everyone,
I am aching today, yesterday was physically draining. We took Esther over to Nate's while Crystal went to London but unfortunately Steve felt really ill and spent 99% of the time lying on the settee, the other 1% he watched the little ones while I dashed to the loo. They didn't want me to leave them either and wouldn't let me pick up one without the other. Sitting was ok with one on each knee but carrying one on each arm was hard, they are very tall children so they weigh a lot. They played together well on the whole and Laura brought Esben over after school and he entertained Nate especially. I'd do it again but hopefully next time Steve will be well enough to help.
The main benefit is that Crystal was happy that Nate was happy with us because it was the longest she had left him. She also left while he was napping and I thought he might cry when he saw me but he didn't. At 15 months and 12 months they are close enough in age to be like twins so it certainly gave me a new insight into how that is and my hat goes off to twin mums.
Today will be a quiet day I think and babycare will be left to the parents, I have no clue about dinner either, something easy.
taff, sorry I missed your birthday, belated happy wishes.
Scarlet, have a wonderful time.
TA enjoy Skipton, if that's where you get to.
Have a good day.
I've just read yesterday's thread. Your trip sounds brilliant Ruby, I would love to go back there.
Nanny, I hope Mr's treatment went well and that you didn't wait too long.7 -
