Received an NSL (Marston Holdings) for parking near Stansted Airport

Hello all.

My wife has received a “notice to keeper” from NSL (Marston Holdings) for parking near Stansted Airport.

We believe the time/date matches up with the occasion she had to pick my son up, forgot her residents card, so (perhaps unwisely) decided to meet him just outside the airport.

The thing is:

1. My wife is not the registered keeper of the car – it is leased

2. The registration number is completely wrong. Not a digit out, or an L instead of an I, or anything like that – it’s a completely different plate

3. The car is listed as “white Vauxhall”. Her Vauxhall is very obviously dark blue

4. The photograph on the letter is tiny, the car itself is smaller than a grain of rice – literally, it’s impossible to see that it’s even a car. There is no option to view the photo when you enter the reference number online either.

Can anyone suggest the best way forward with this please?

Thanks!

    Welcome!

The lessee/hirer just uses the appeal version by Edna Basher at the end of the first post of the NEWBIES thread.  We won't link the Newbies thread as there are links back to page one of the forum, already in this page (twice).

    DO NOT TICK DRIVER!

DO NOT TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.

Come back here at POPLA stage, as NSL are a  PPC that (we say) mislead POPLA and it needs really robust words to stop POPLA from getting it hopelessly wrong again.

Show us the NTK please. Both sides. We expect NSL are still pretending that keeper/hirer liability applies at Airports.

  • Slight, but important, update.

Apparently the car details are accurate - the wife had a courtesy car for that day, this was it. So the only possible challenge could be the tiny photograph, is that enough to go with?

    Thanks

    No.

Please re-read what I told you above.

Her challenge has nothing to do with 'the tiny photograph'.  Was the NTK addressed to her or the garage?
