Morning all, it's damp outside this morning but as usual the rain doesn't look too far away. We have to go out later for the first appointment of the week, Mr Fix It's oncology injection. Hopefully he will be going in on time as we have a delivery due later and don't want to miss it. I forgot to say that the new neighbour did offer to pay but it's only a small paintwork scratch.

Hi everyone,
A bit light on duties this morning – I think I’m just so used to being run ragged by former boss with 80% of my time reacting to her needs – I’m going to have to march to a different beat here. I expect things will ramp up once they know they can trust me to do stuff though!
I’m out with former work colleagues this evening so will get a bus to the station and go straight to London. Not overly looking forward to stepping back and also the weather is foul, so fuzzy hair will no doubt appear at some point. Won’t stay too late and won’t drink alcohol as don’t want to be in the West End of London feeling pickled
@camelot1001 – enjoy the show this afternoon x
@ScarletRibbons – your poor DD and family – I hope they feel brighter soon. Good idea for the low dose ABs and glad to hear nothing serious x And please don’t think you’re moaning – good grief I’ve been a right old moany cow for months due to work – we all have to vent sometimes!
@TravellingAbuela – I met John Waite on my JoGLE – he was walking the West Highland Way for Ukraine and we met him coming along the track. Took the worst selfie ever!! He’s a lovely man. Enjoy the show!
Sounds a fabulous trip @RedRuby1231 – the meals sounds amazing. We got bitten alive when we visited in September 2019 due to the humidity! Didn’t spoil our time there though. Glad you didn’t capsize the gondola J
Glad little one enjoyed her play @dp1 x
Cheesecake sounds lovely @WickedLady4 and good idea to have a back-up plan for veggie Christmas!
Enjoy the meal out @Gers x
Have a fun time at the GC today @-taff
Right best get on.
Stay well and warm everyone.

So we went to the garden centre expecting to see some plants and have some lunch and instead we ended up in CHristmas world with most of it havening been given over to Christmas decorations and dioramas with nodding reindeers, bobbing badgers and bouncing beavers....When we eventually found the cafe bit the queue was unbelievable so we got back in the car and went to Lacock and had a meal in the pub there, which was really nice. Big up the serving girls too, very efficient...but they did what they always do and ask how is the meal when your mouth is full of food and you can't answerSue, you couldn't have missed it last year because I did them last year as well, it will have been the year before, sorry to be the bearer of time passing quicker than you think
I'm still hoping tru returns though....
Coxy, have a lovely time!nanny, at least you have an honest neighbourNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi8 -
Afternoon all, sorry I've been missing due to lurgy and other issues.Still not completely right but better than I was at weekend. Just trying to catch up on your news. Taff happy belated birthday wishes!RR so glad you and DH enjoyed Venice-sounds great. On Sunday I thought I'd better check the oven was ok for the turkey, not having used it much recently. I was roasting a chicken, turned it on, popped it in. After 10-15 mins everything in the house went off!. Not a fuse. Swiftly transferred the chicken to the ninjagrill , once DH had got the leccy back on & realised the boiler wasn't on. He looked in the cupboard and there weren't any lights on that either. Electrician came to check on some stuff yesterday but we aren't much nearer a solution, and the boiler man can't come this week if at all before Cmas :sThe log burner is on constantly!A new oven was delivered at 7.30 this morning and is now installed- well it's 1 way of having a clean oven for Christmas
. Proving to be an expensive week though!
Right better think of something for tea, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
