All very interesting how different people keep their food bills down

My weekly shopping takes no longer than 10 minutes in Tesco, I know where everything is so I don't go down isles unnecessarily, self service checkout.

My cooking is simple too. Bacon egg beans 3 minutes, chicken salad 7 minutes as is chicken mixed veg and gravy, I don't have a fridge freezer so no cost there.

It would be interesting to hear how long all that bargain hunting takes, how many different shops, how long it takes to cook

More importantly what it all costs in energy
How do you store your bacon, chicken and salad without a fridge?
I do have a fridge not a fridge freezer so I can't store larger quantities, I only shop for 6/7 days at a time

I unwrap my lettuce, allow to air dry on the counter then put into the veg drawer of fridge. I line that drawer with kitchen towel changed regularly.

I tear off leaves as needed no cutting. Keeps for absolutely ages.

I don't snack between meals either. Only if it's really hot, my body often asks for a snack between lunch and dinner.

Honestly the reactions of people when I politely turn down sweets/biscuits etc I'm offered in between meals!
