Morning everyone
Still raining here - it's been wet all over the weekend. I had little one from Saturday lunchtime till just after lunch yesterday. We had a lovely time doing lots of Christmas crafts and watched The Grinch on Saturday night with hot chocolate and candles! She's spent the whole weekend singing songs from her nativity play - it was funny as some bits she just sings what she thinks are the words! At one point I did suggest maybes she should rest her voice instead of practising ALL the time - 'granny I'm not practising...it's called rehearsing!' That was me told.
They had their dress rehearsal on Friday and have 3 performances this week - quite a lot when you're only four. I'm working from lunchtime but can pop over to the hall to watch her this afternoon - doesn't seem 5 minutes since it was her mummy in the same hall!
better go I'm not dressed yet. Hope everyone has a good day x5 -

Hi everyone, and thanks for the start @nmlc x
It feels like a good few days since I was last on here. I am reading along and keeping up with everyone’s news but can’t seem to post often as it’s a bit difficult from work, made even harder with a new shiny BIG screen and being in a shared office! I’m currently alone, so taking the chance sssshh!
Now into my third week. Am killing Ms Moanalot with kindness and being super effusive by offering tea at any given opportunity. She is warming to me I think. I’ve been offered some project work to do with Endoscopy which I think is going to really interest me, so will look forward to that. But the highlight of last week was a theatre session on Friday morning. I had to be here super early (7.15am) and followed the patient from the pre-op assessment on the ward, through to anaesthetics, theatre, recovery and back to the ward. I was absolutely buzzing when I got back to my desk. I had to wear full scrubs (hilarious, wish I’d taken a photo) and wasn’t in the least bit squeamish – all that watching Dr Pimple Popper has obviously paid off. Found it really rewarding.
My weekend was spent at a wreath making course with the WI on Saturday morning – really pleased with the finished result which is currently on the front door, then curry/drinks with friends on Saturday evening. We visited nephew’s grave yesterday then went to a Christmas market with DSis, BIL and Mum, then I wrapped a good proportion of the Christmas gifts and ordered the last two outstanding items which should be delivered early next week.
Happy belated birthday to @-taff and thanks so much for providing the Carols xx
So cute to hear of the nativity plays at school and nursery
Loving the de-guddling exploits @Gers – please can you come and do my spare room which looks like a bombsite
I too am looking forward to veg wars @IzzyBee
Oh dear that isn’t a good first meeting of your neighbour @nannywindow!
Right better get back to it.
Keep safe and warm all

Evening. Work was ok, dragged a bit but I’m home now. I just made a big winter salad and have (at least) 2 portions left so that’s a bonus. Had plenty of time at work to think, have decided to go no dig on my allotment which is a relief. Just need to do the washing up and then can relax.250 bonus saver
