Morning All
Cold but dry this morning, we had some rain yesterday but it didn't start until I had been for a walk for a few bits at the shops so that was lucky.
Lots of little jobs done yesterday and some TV watching and reading, all in all a good Sunday. Washing up to date and the house reasonably clean and tidy.
Busiest 2 weeks of the year coming up with a dress rehearsal of the nativity show being the first today, the two local nurseries are coming so the little one will be coming along with her nursery, DD is helping them too.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX7 -
Hi everyone,
Gulp, 2 weeks to the big day, I really should start making plans for the cooking and baking but I still haven't finished my cards and nothing is wrapped. I will hopefully have some free time today to get on though because Esther has her first full day of nursery (well 9 till 3 anyway). I hope she is ok. Esben is also at nursery, preparing for his Christmas show (I don't think it's a nativity because it has reindeers, snowmen and elves although his friend Amelia is the Angel Gabriel so who knows.
L and B's car developed a big hole in a tyre so Steve and Brian will be removing the wheel and taking it to be replaced, like a lot of cars now there is no spare. It's annoying because it's only 6 months old, it looks like pothole damage.
Tomorrow we are taking Esther over to Chris and Crystal's because Crystal has her work Christmas party, we'll see how that goes, hopefully Nate will be ok with us, the longest he will have been left with anyone without Crystal I think but if she's going back to work next month she is going to have to bite the bullet and let go at some point.
I hope all the poorly people are as well as can be expected and that the season isn't too difficult for people.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A dry and sunny day forecast for us, a bonus after the rubbish we have been getting.
After my one off restful sleep I was back to my usual sleepless one last night. Tossing and turning and clock watching. Grr.
After rain stopped play on Saturday morning I intend to go down town for the odd bits I can't get on my Oc*do order this week. I might even venture onwards to the next little town along as it's ages since I was there. I know how to live it up!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just fed up. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Good morning, it's not raining! For now anyway.
I had (for me) a good night's sleep, didn't wake up till after 6am. I had woken through the night as usual though.
It's hairdo time this morning, then there are other jobs to keep me going.
I'll also visit my old friend who lives nearby, an old lady who doesn't get out much. I usually see her most weeks, and want to visit before we go away.
Hope your rehearsals go well Camelot.
Hoping everyone has a good day today, take care folks.

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off nmlc.
It's still dark here, but the forecast is better than yesterday (I got wet walking to the church for our carol service).
Hope you all have a good week. xx8 -
Perhaps today will be dry? Overnight the stars were all out twinkling brightly, I spent too long at the bathroom window looking at them which made me very cold. The electric blanket soon warmed me back up so I dropped off to sleep fairly quickly.Yesterday I continued my de-guddling of the utility room and then my coffee table. A load of things were re-located to the back barn and some simply put away. The house is always tidy apart from those two hot spots. On the coffee table I found some left over currency from my time on holiday this year, it was tucked inside the box of tissues, no idea why. I'll take it to exchange after Christmas.Today my only plans are to make a pot of soup and then collect a friend from the Glasgow bus to take her home. Must crack on.6

Morning all; the sun's shining here.
Busy day yesterday as we drove down to Portsmouth for a family birthday lunch. The only thing is it took us almost 4 hours because of roadworks at the M25/A3 junction (which will be there until Spring 2025) and an accident further along on the A3. It was also raining most of the way, with lots of spray, especially on the A3. Never mind, we took lots of good photos, which doesn't always happen, and everyone is well. And I got to go through the Hindhead tunnel, which I still find amazing, considering we've had to drive around the Punchbowl ever since I was a child.
Today I am collecting DGS from school, as both his parents are busy, plus I need to get some bits from Lidl, ready to make salads on Wednesday. There's also the washing and ironing to do so I'd better crack on.
Have a super day everyone.8 -

Our birthdays are done now, but at least the kitchen is tidy, making food for fifteen ish people made a dent in the kitchen organisation being as I only have a piece of worktop 60 by 60 to work on, but I cant say the same for the living room, although the goth box is quite tidy. Making things in the kitchen means I have to be on top of cleaning as I go along but sometimes it's still a bit testing. OH has to crush the cans ready for recyclng and put the bottles in the recycling box. Todays job for me is to start moving stuff around so the plumber can fit new radiators at the end of the week. Hoping to visit a gc with a friend possibly tomorrow and the recycle place with another friend later in the week. Must also set a reminder to take some bacon out of the freezer for bacon sandwiches for the plumber.camelot, snoozer, I hope they have as much fun with their nativity or otherwise as we used to. It's nice that some things just keep goingScarlet, it's a countdown now! Hope you're packed now! Although if you're anything like me I take stuff and only ever wear about forty percent of it. TA, enjoy the magical mystery tour if you go! Gers, only having two hotspots is not so bad really, I have a whole house of it
Izzy, what's the number now? WL, glad you had a nice family reunion! Take care all, hope today is a good one for you.

Morning all, I didn't have a good night so I feel awful this morning. We met our new neighbour yesterday as he knocked the door to tell us that he had scraped our car bumper while parking, not a good start !
Thankfully I did everything I needed to do yesterday so only have a little bit of ironing left for today. The rest of this week is taken up with a either a surgery or hospital appointment every day, 2 for Mr Fix It and 2 for me, I'll be glad when it's over, then I can concentrate on xmas stuff, I still have wrapping and shopping to do !
Take care all
