Universal credit - appointment at the job centre

HI!
We received the letter to move from the old benefits (child tax credits and child benefit) to universal credit.
My husband and I completed all the information, and on Friday I got a message saying I had to go to the job centre to "verify capital".
I'll have to take time off work to attend the appointment, so that's annoying. But the most annoying thing is that they don't explain what I need to take with me to the appointment.
Do I need to show them my banking app with the money in my account? Do they want to see proof of employment? ID?
I've messaged them using the journal, but of course this was all on Friday and I haven't received any replies. The appointment is tomorrow Monday.
Has anyone been to this appointment? What did you need to take with you?
Thanks!

It normally tells you in the to-do. Have you checked it?
What capital did you declare was it savings, a property, bonds etc?

It doesn't. It just says that I have an appointment to verify capital. I have some savings in an ISA from being made redundant. I got a new job straightaway, so I didn't have to touch that money.tomtom256 said:It normally tells you in the to-do. Have you checked it?

For the avoidance of doubt child benefit continues as normal, it's not part of UC.margaeyre said:HI!

Have you actually checked the journal message or just looked at the short summary notifying you of the appointment? Many people just look at the SMS message and ignore the more detailed message on their journal, This could be the cause of any confusion. If this doesn't solve the issue then send UC a journal message asking your question, although I note you have already done so and hopefully you have now received a reply.margaeyre said:
