If someone's parent dies during the year is it still ok to give them a Christmas card

My Mum was Irish too and she too didn't send cards the year my father died. It's perfectly acceptable however to still send a card to someone in that situation -in fact possibly even more important to do it that particular year.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I think I would still give a card but maybe not a 'happy jolly one' - perhaps more like a 'thinking of you' card.0
