I don't know. The smart meter installer should call you on the 14th before turning up. If no-one has given you a definitive answer in the meantime you could ask them when they phone?N. BG will probably cancel the appointment if they are no longer your supplier. You would need to check with them0

As it's days away why not contact BG who will likely cancel the appointment?,unless there's some particularly pressing need for fitting a smart meter that is.
Given my previous experience with BG anything that's possible to mess up it's almost guaranteed that they will,if it were me I'd cancel the appointment myself, assuming there's no penalty for doing so.
I had smart meters fitted in June,by Eon,providing the install was cancelled the previous working day there's no charge for doing so,BG might be the same.

When my smart meter was installed the third party installer spoke with EDF (my supplier) a couple of times during the install. I'd cancel it, too many things to go wrong.2

CANCEL ! Unless you are prepared to spend months trying to sort out your final bill with BG !!4
