Received a PCN notice from EPC for unpaid October 2019 toll charges on the Portuguese motorway along the Algarve (IC4/A22). We were advised by friends in Portugal that the tolls can only be paid, after 48 hours, at a Portuguese Post Office. So how would I be expected to pay the tolls on the last day in Portugal?
The big question is DO I HAVE TO PAY EPC Plc and their high admin costs? Any personal experiences?

Sorry I am new here. I have received a letter dated 17/12/2023 from EPC plc for toll charges in Portugal from Sept 2019 at a cost of 12.93 but with Admin Fees and Costs they now want £118 paid before 14th Jan 2024. This is the first I was aware of this and I assumed all cots were covered when I rented the car. Please could someone advise what I should do. I have never used this forum before and I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to looking for answers. When Coupon-mad says "Search the forum" I have and cannot seem to find anything. Help ???0

Type 'EPC' into the Search bar, hit Enter. Takes you to a second page, click 'Threads', click from 'Best Match' to 'Newest', click 'Categories', go to r/h side of page to 'Category', start typing 'Parking', drop down box will bring up 'Parking tickets, fines & parking', scroll down slightly, uncheck 'Polls' and 'Ideas', then click 'Filters'. That should give you a list of results.Simples! 😄Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
