International transfer to Ghana

Couldn't find a appropriate category for this so I hope it hits some buttons.
I've been sending fairly small amounts of money to a school in Ghana over the past year via WISE - it has been quick and easy. This month I got a notification that WISE cannot transfer to Ghana at the moment and when I looked into it further found that the Ghanaian government has had a crackdown on unlicenced remittance providers, of which WISE is one. I've since tried to set up payments with XE and with Western Union and both have been declined - unclear exactly why but one code led to "regulatory reasons. I could explore making payments via my own bank (Nationwide) but there's a hefty £20 fee for any SWIFT payment. Any suggestions of a good-value international transfer route would be appreciated.

I regularly use World Remit to send small amounts to Kenya, they are very reliable and do have Ghana listed, might be worth a try1
