WARNING Government Gateway Fraud

I've recently been doing my tax return via the Government Gateway. This morning I got an email to say I needed to enter important information into my account.
So foolishly I clicked the link in the email. A very convincing mockup of the government site asked me to upload my passport, a photo of myself and a document with my address on, which I did. As part of the sign in I was sent a text message with an access code - so they had my mobile number.
I'm not sure why I got suspicious but of course it was a scam.
Have phoned Action Fraud and my banks, forwarded the email to gov.uk and will now check my credit score regularly.
Anything else I should do?

Don't know if you can log on properly to GG and post a note on there?? Or notify that you may have been hacked. Change any passwords perhaps, including on your mobile. Contact the company whose document you used as well.
fyi - I got the same email and was about to do something and then remembered that someone had said that GG don't email but would always send a letter. The email did look very convincing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Thanks for the warning. Sounds grim.

Hope you are wrong and it's not a scam otherwise all hell will be bestowed on you!

Don't just check your credit score - check the detailed report in case they start opening new credit in your name.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1
