  • so many red flags I cant even be bothered to list them. Complete sham. You can always email this multinational company on their GMAIL account if you want confirmation, but I wouldn't advise it.....

I’m very jealous 😀 when I first saw that scam post in my Facebook feed I was being charged over £6 a case, why do the scammers want more from me?

Yes! Now I have looked closely it is so obvious.   I think a friend fell for it so I will ask them what happened.

They have even generated fake FB profiles to post happy customer stories on that page.

The bags are actually auctioned here https://greasbys.co.uk/catalogue/

The suitcases only contain clothes, other things are taken out and auctioned seperately, and are only described as men, women or mixed. You don't get to see the content before bidding. By all accounts they go for nearer £15 each than £1.50. Obvious designer clothing is taken out too but some can slip through by all accounts.

We used to frequent it in the mid 2000's - there was a knack to recognising the bags belonging to people at the beginning, rather than end, of their trips (i,e, new, clean clothing). Bidding used to start at £5 and we could often clear £50 on a bag and it gave some fun, and some clothing for neighbours/friends etc together with a mornings entertainment watching the local 'characters' who subsequently featured in the TV programme.

Since then t'interweb has changed the dynamic so I'm not sure there's any bargains to be had there
