New car problems

Hi I picked up a brand new car around 5 weeks ago . I have it on finance and change it every 3-4 years.I have been with this dealer for over 15 years.
Within the 1st week an electrical fault light came on.
They said it was just the computer saying there was something in history and they reset computer.
After picking up the car the light came on and off again.
I took it back to dealer, who looked at it again and diagnosed it has a wiring issue.
They advised me it would be 5-7 days to await the part and fix it.
In the meantime I have a hire car.
I have now ben waiting 1m for the repair.
I have not been kept informed of what is going on at any point during this month.
I gave them a call today to be told the part that was sent was wrong and it is has been rediagnosed with another issue with some other wiring. It is a new car so the part that needs replacing does not exist yet so they are having to manufacture it.
.What rights have I got to return the car.I feel uneasy with it all.
I have also been paying a monthly payment for a car I haven't had the use of?

If you trust the dealer and brand let them fix it, if you don't start rejection proceedings, you will need to keep the finance company informed.0 -
Before you reject have you looked at what you want to replace it with?
Is stock available immediately.?
I doubt the hire car will continue once you reject,have you got other transport0 -
All make of cars are claiming they can’t get parts.
I needed an adblue tank for my Peugeot 5008.
Dealer said it’s ordered but with no date for availability.
I found 5 companies offering the tank next day and one same day.
This was on a Friday, I called Peugeot warranty and said give me a cheque or transfer and I would collect it and get their dealer to fix.
No, no ,no we can’t do that.
We will call you next week and update you.
Monday morning my new tank was at the fitting dealer.
Amazing 😻.
See if you can source the part and then get on to them.
Might be worth a try.

Also you are putting miles on the hire car not your own and there is no wear and tear ,when you get your own car back it will be like getting a new one again.0

If the former, you may have a claim for the costs of the hire car.
If the latter, then you still have the use of a car on which you are putting the mileage and depreciation while your car remains unused.0
