Online Return - Missing (and no tracking receipt!)

So I have returned an order to Nike to the value of £189 - I returned it via a local newsagent with a label attached who provided me with a tracking receipt which I have since misplaced. It was a Royal Mail label. I am now sweating that the parcel is lost and that I cannot prove that I returned it. Does anyone have any advice for this? I am starting to get worried now as I really cannot afford to lose out on such a large amount of money. Thanks in advance, Dan

Probably the time of the year more than anything but also the sheer cost of the return. It was sent Monday 27th/Tuesday 28th November so just over a week.

Not much you can do other than wait.  It's only been just over a week and I expect they're busy with dispatches and returns, so it'll probably be ok.

As for your last line, I'm always curious when people say such things.  If the item wasn't being returned, you wouldn't have the £189, you'd have whatever the item was.
