Barclays Switching Offer Didn't Work!

What makes you say the switch didn't work? You should have got confirmation that the old account being switched, all direct debits being transferred along with any balance from the donor account. These are usually documents in the app and posted confirmation. The card and PIN should arrive thereafter, and no confirmation of the incentive usually arrives before payment. They have 28 days to pay out.3

This included using only the Barclays App, moving more than 2 direct debits, and signing up for Blue Rewards. The offer said that I would receive £175 switching reward, and the monthly £5 Blue Rewards fee would be waived. I was also required to pay in £800 monthly, which I have done, twice. Instead I have been charged the £5 fee, and I haven't received my £175 reward. What's gone wrong? Has anyone actually successfully used this offer? If so how did it work out in terms of timescales? Thanks!
There's a great long thread all about this here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6482594/barclays-175-switch-offer-new-customers-only-nov-1-30-2023.
Where you'll find lots of people patiently waiting! Some a little impatient, but none assuming, like you, that the offer didn't work, they're just waiting...

Many people have not yet been paid so you just need to be patient for now and save up your rage for January or thereabouts!3 -
You need to be patient - if Barclays make a horlicks of it, raise a complaint.
Sit back for 8 weeks while they either cough up, or (more likely) do nothing for 6 of those weeks before sending out a final response letter with no commitment to do anything and an offer of compensation.
The compensation will then land in your account a week before the letter turns up.
In the meantime, cycle £800 through the account, and ensure that two direct debits go out.

The most important instructions to follow are those in the terms and conditions of the offer itself, and you should always save a copy for yourself for future reference. The bonus payment will be made within 28 working days of the eligibility criteria being fulfilled. There is no mention of the £5 monthly fee being waived.
