OPC Parking Ticket in effective signage

I got a notice to owner of intended court action today for a ticket that was placed on my car in October.
The driver on the day did not find see any signage at the location referring to the land they had parked on. I have gone there to see and there is a very old sign from OPC not on the actual land but affixed to a wall on the other side of an access road. It has a very unclear map drawn showing an outline of the building and a rectangle of land designated as "Chelsea Building Society, private parking area".
Chelsea building society hasn't occupied the building for several years since it merged with Yorkshire building society and the site was taken over by Yorkshire. So there is not actually any business by that name anywhere in the area. We have been using the location to park for a couple of years and never had a ticket before now.
Is this a suitable argument, (the map on the sign being unclear and also referring to a business that does not exist) to use to appeal against the ticket? They are saying if it goes to court I will be liable to the £100 for the ticket and up to £300 in additional costs and court fees.

Did I do something wrong? I'm a bit confused because everyone else who posted today has had at least one reply from someone, but my post has not been replied to. I apologise sincerely if I did or said something inappropriate.0

You have done nothing inappropriate the forum is very busy and sometimes things get missed. You won't have a notice to owner no one knows the owner, you might have a notice to keeper with a load of threats on it though.Firstly have you read the newbies thread at the top of the forum? It tells you what to do and even has a template appeal written for you.

I.e. can it be interpreted as a Letter Before Claim or is it just a debt collectors letter?2 -
I think its OPS' version of a NTK.

You have done nothing inappropriate the forum is very busy and sometimes things get missed. Some 60 different cases currently being dealt with in the past 20 hours, some quite complex with multiple posts and questions requiring answers/clarifications. The number of regular contributors on this forum can be counted on less than the fingers of two hands. It can be crazy busy here very often.
Please be patient, the volunteer, unpaid, overstretched regulars will get round to helping you. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Any update on this please. I've had the same thing happen except I've only had the ticket on the windscreen thus far. I suspect this is the same car park the OP was talking about.0
