UKPC Parking Charge - Aldi London Road, Reading

Registered keeper has been sent a parking charge by UKPC with photos. The first photo is of the car arriving at the car park at 16:10 one evening; the car left the car park before 16:30 on the same evening.
The second photo apparently shows the car leaving the car park at 07:55 the next morning, when the car must have triggered the camera when dropping off a passenger a short distance away; the vehicle didn't enter the car park.
I think I recall from my previous thread, for a charge I managed to get cancelled by the landowner, that it is a mistake to appeal to UKPC. Is that still correct? Any other suggestions gratefully received.
I have corresponded with Aldi already. They give the usual "we can't do anything, you'll need to appeal to UKPC" advice and ignore my request to be told who the landowner is. I'm still not able to find the landowner on line but haven''t returned to the car park to check signage, yet.

UKPC don't normally infest Aldo car parks, so I'm guessing the store is in some sort of retail park/shopping centre. If that is the case, then they won't be able to help other than they might be persuaded to tell you the landowner's details. Do complain to the keeper's MP, no matter what else you do.
Where did this occur? It may have cropped up here before. Show us using Google Streetview images if possible.
Failing that, appeal using the template in blue text you will find in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES and add a one liner that this was a case of two separate visits, known as double dipping, so should cancel the charge now to save themselves money.
Get photos of the site and signage in readiness for a rejection and PoPLA appeal.

I know that site, shared by Aldi and Costa
This will be a double dip and a ANPR camera problem
When you were dropping someone off close by, where was that3 -

It was here...
Yes, that's right. So would you say it's worth contacting UKPC?
A friendly estate agent tells me the landowner is STANDARD LIFE ASSURANCE LIMITED (Edinburgh)

A friendly estate agent tells me the landowner is STANDARD LIFE ASSURANCE LIMITED (Edinburgh); should contacting them still be my next course of action or shall I contest with UKPC, or both?

This is explained in the NEWBIES thread (PLAN A first) and no case is different.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I suspected, Aldi were not really interested in helping; they just kept telling us to "appeal" to UKPC. We've had a similar experience with another Reading car park when Decathlon weren't interested in helping.
The landowner, we actually got replies from JLL (who also own the Decathlong car park), not Standard Life (who we wrote to), cancelled the ticket, saying:"After investigating and checking the footage we noticed that the camera didn’t recognise you leaving the estate. This is the only time it happened, and we are sorry that you have received the PCN on this occasion.
I’m pleased to say that we have managed to cancelled your PCN and hoping that it will not happening again."
The implication here is that the landowner has access to the photos / footage...
We did send an email to Aldi saying that the landowner had cancelled it and pointing out how much stress this could cause. They pretty much just acknowledged the email and said they'd try to do better...
We should reply to JLL, telling them the same thing...
Thanks for the assistance.2 -
Plan A strikes again! Quite right too.
